Situation

Job AI-sistant was built to help job seekers prepare targeted application materials while keeping the person in control of the application. Omar submitted it as his first hackathon project to the PartyRock Generative AI Hackathon by AWS on Devpost.

Actions

• Built an application for entering job details including the posting URL, title,

company, location, company mission, and the applicant's chosen focus areas.

• Implemented a workflow that combines those fields, a cover-letter template,

and the job description into a prompt for ChatGPT/OpenAI, then returns the generated cover-letter text to the application.

• Included logging and a database-oriented workflow for retaining a record of

job applications and generated material.

• Maintained a public GitHub fork with C# and React.JS directories, project

documentation, resources, and an MIT license.

Outcome

The project was publicly submitted to the AWS PartyRock Generative AI Hackathon through Devpost. Omar's public GitHub fork is available, but it is distinct from the separate local source and has not been compared against it. The fork's README describes that version as work in progress and notes known issues; it should not be presented as fully automated.
